Freetour offers: The tour explains the premise of the website and gives the visitor a bunch of scene previews. Each of these consists of 2 large thumbnail images and 6 smaller thumbnail images along with a paragraph of text describing the scene, the name of the girl, and a link to a video trailer for that particular scene. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll find links to the rest of the tour pages. Take note of just how many there are and how many scenes are on each page! It doesn't take a genius to realize that this means there's a decent amount of content in the member's area. And while you're down near the bottom of the page, you may notice mention of the Meat Members network of websites, of which POV Casting Couch is a part of. You may also have noticed a Meat Members navigation bar at the very top of the page. Before you join, I'd recommend clicking on the “Sites” link to see some more information about the Meat Members network.
General impression: It's certainly not a revolutionary idea. There have been plenty of guys just like Herb in the past and I have no doubt there will be plenty more. Herb does it well, though. He combines the casting couch idea with the POV niche and in doing so combines two extremely popular niches. Throw in a bunch of hot teen sluts and you've got yourself a pretty appealing website in my opinion. Then of course there's the Meat Members network. But we'll talk more about that later.
Bravo's opinion: I already pointed out that there were quite a few pages to the tour. I doubt many of you bothered to browse through more than the first two pages, assume you got even that far. You'll be happy to learn that POV Casting Couch currently contains exclusive episodes.
So what can you expect from each scene? There's both picture and video content with each update. With pictures, you get both screencaps (still frames taken directly from the videos) and high quality photographs. The screencaps are certainly plentiful but unsurprisingly the quality leaves a lot to be desired. On the other hand, the quality of the photographs are superb, but given these are POV scenes and there's only one camera man, there aren't very many of them at all. A great feature is that both the screencap and high quality image galleries are available in downloadable ZIP files. The screencap images measure 720 x 480 pixels in size and the high quality photos are 900 x 675.
For me, the most disappointing thing about the POV Casting Couch member's area and indeed the entire Meat Members network is the lack of a single video file for each scene. Instead, every scene is split into pieces. Depending on the length of the scene, there could be anywhere from 3 to 8 pieces per scene. This is a pet peeve of mine and I'm never thrilled to see it. There's nothing worse than a video you're happily jerking off to coming to an abrupt end before you do. Nobody wants to stop to get the next piece going. There is an easy enough solution though when you do encounter this problem. Simply download all the pieces and throw them in order into your media player's playlist. The result is a seemingly seamless video file. You might notice a slight glitch when the video changes over, but you certainly won't be leaving your happy place!
You get four options when it comes to video format and quality: low quality WMV, high quality WMV, low quality MPEG and high quality MPEG. For my money, it's got to be the WMV. Unless you're on a MAC and you're having troubles with the Windows Media format, that is. But WMV is usually my preferred choice. For the same file size, or in some cases even a smaller file size, you usually get a much higher quality video to enjoy. The high quality WMV files measure 450 x 300 pixels and are encoded at 1.12Mbps (about 1120kbps). I wouldn't bother with the low quality options at all. The low quality WMV files are just 360 x 240 pixels and are encoded at an unimpressive 396kbps. I won't lie to you. Even the high quality videos in this member's area are far from being the best I've seen. But they're reasonable. And there's a lot of them.
I guess now it's time I talked about the rest of the Meat Members network. I wish I had time to give you a brief explanation of each, but there are so many sites and just not enough room in this review to talk about all of them. I'd recommend you check out that “Sites” page on the tour (you'll find the link at the top on the Meat Members navigation bar). There's a huge range of stuff available. On it's own, I probably wouldn't join POV Casting Couch. It's not that the archive isn't big enough, or even that the updates only come along every 2 weeks. The video quality just isn't up to scratch. And if all you were getting access to were 78 videos, then I don't think you'd be able to justify the cost of the membership. But thankfully you're not just getting access to only the videos in POV Casting Couch. You're also getting access to videos from the entire network and the value for money is simply phenomenal. I don't know how they can give you so much porn for such a small price. The range of niches available is unbelievable. There are certainly a few areas where this membership could improve, but at the moment you'd be getting some serious bang for your buck and in my opinion it's worth checking out. Enjoy!
