Freetour offers: The first page of the tour doesn't give much away, but if you click on the about me page, you get to learn a little bit more about Melanie. And you also get a sneak peak at her latest diary entry, something which members get full access to. The samples page is what I think will grab most people's attention though. There are 3 full size pictures available as well as several thumbnails. But if I were you, I wouldn't leave her website without taking a look at her introduction video, which is also available on the samples page. There are also picture samples on the latest update page, which will show you the 3 most recent additions to Melanie's member's area. Plus you get to see just how often Melanie's website is updated!
General impression: Melanie is an incredibly gorgeous girl with many adoring fans. I'm sure many of you reading this will soon be joining their ranks! Her website has a very personal feel about it. It's hard not to fall for this playful girl next door. She has this amazing ability to tease you and keep you coming back for more time and time again.
Bravo's opinion: It's easy to find your way around Melanie's website once you're inside because the design is so similar to the tour. The only real difference is that you can access more, obviously. First and foremost is the menu at the top of the page, which links you to the major areas of the website: pictures, videos and Melanie's diary as well as some other areas such as a search feature, a forum for members and a preferences page.
The preferences page is especially impressive as it allows you to decide how you view Melanie's content. You get to choose whether you want pictures in galleries to open up in the same window or in a new window, on a webpage or just as the image itself, whether you want the full sized pictures or the standard size pictures, how many thumbnails you want to appear per page in the galleries and so on. This is a feature I've never come across (or never noticed) on any other websites. I think it'll be well appreciated. One thing to take note of is that by default, standard sized images are set as the preference. So if you want the full sized stuff, you're going to have to go to the preferences page and change it. It's labeled as My OM on the menu.
The main page of the member's area is pretty much what you'd expect, with links to the 3 most recent items of content to have been added to the member's area. It's almost a carbon copy of the latest updates page you would have come across on the tour, only clicking on the pictures will take you to the rest of the content instead of just a sample or the join page for her site!
I think the search feature is actually the best place to start as it allows you to view the various sets of content by the category. And there a lot to choose from which shows just how great this website really is. There's everything from Melanie in boots to Melanie wearing French maid outfits. All up, there are 40 different categories.
But if you just want to jump right on in, head to the picture or video archives. They're both organized by the month that the content was added to the website. So the first thing you'll see when you click the pictures archive is a list of the sets that have been added to the member's area in the current month. To the left, you'll find a list of the previous months. Clicking on any of these will take you to a page just like the main picture archive page listing the sets added during that particular month. Pretty simple stuff. The movie gallery is just the same. There's an option at the top where you can select pictures and videos, and even pictures, videos and diary entries so that it's you can access the entire archive from just one area.
The videos are all in AVI format. There's a decent chance that you'll need to download the XviD codec before you can properly view the videos. If you watch video a lot on your computer, there's a pretty good chance you already have it and don't even realize. For each video, you're given a choice of either high or low resolution. There's a significant difference between the two in terms of both resolution and quality. Personally, I wouldn't even bother with the lower quality option. Even if you're on a slow connection, you'll find it's well worth the wait to get the higher quality stuff. The low resolution videos truly live up to their name, or down to it, with a resolution of just 208 x 160 pixels. They're absolutely tiny. The high resolution videos on the other hand offer video in 640 x 480 pixels, which if you do the math, you'll realize is actually over 9 times larger than the low resolution videos. The picture quality is fantastic. I run my computer at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels on a 19 inch monitor, and I was able to view the videos in full-screen mode without any noticeable distortion. It's almost as if you're watching a DVD!
The standard size images measure at about 1000 x 600 pixels, which is larger than average. The high resolution images (which you'll need to change your preferences in the My OM area of the website to) are a whopping 2000 x 1300 pixels in size. That is a huge increase. Maybe even a little too big unless you're on a monster of a monitor. What I really like about the image galleries in Melanie's website is the fact that they're all downloadable in zip format. And you get to choose between the standard size pictures and the high resolution ones too.
The number of updates you get seems to vary quite a bit. But even the months where they add the least amount of content, they're still offering more than what most solo girl websites do. For example, you'll see at least 4 new videos per month. Sometimes you'll get as many as 7 from what I've seen. And in terms of pictures, I'd be very surprised if you saw less than 8 new additions each month. So the worst case scenario is 8 new picture galleries and 4 new exclusive videos of the lovely Melanie Walsh. That's not bad! But no updates since feb-2008 ;(

Melanie is a gorgeous girl and her website truly does her justice. The quality of the photographer's work is only matched by the quality of the files the content is presented in. This stuff is crystal clear. The quality is fantastic. I think for less than 20 bucks per month, this membership is an absolute steal. I would urge you to take a look at her tour. If you like what you see, get yourself a membership as soon as possible because you won't regret it. Enjoy!
