Linda Lovelace Linda Lovelace is the most famous pornstar of all times and she is responsible for making hardcore porn go mainstream in the 70s, when the X-rated blockbuster "Deep Throat" was released in 1972 by Arrow Productions. She was born under the name of Linda Susan Boreman on January 10, 1949, in the borough of the Bronx, New York, and grew up in a strict catholic family. When she was about twenty years old her ex-husband Chuck Traynor forced her to work as a prostitute and perform in hardcore pornographic movies against her will, situation she later described as a chauvinist abuse from her alcoholic and violent partner.

As it was said before, it was "Deep Throat" the film that launched this sexy brunette beauty to stardom and made porn movies, until then shot in clandestine locations and without any legal framework to protect the actors and actresses, go mainstream. During the 80s she retired from porn to become a feminist and anti-pornography activist, stating that women who worked in porn were not there by their will but because they were forced to and abused ("When you see the movie Deep Throat, you are watching me being raped" said Linda during a trial in 1986). Thing is that all these accusations made porn producers go totally legal, and contemporary porn actress will always thank her for this. She may not have a vast filmography, but she worked in many bonerific titles such as: "Confessions of Linda Lovelace" (released by Arrow Productions in 1973), "Exotic French Fantasies" (released by PVX in 1973), and "Blue Vanities 57" (released by Blue Vanities in 1988).

Linda passed away from injuries she suffered in a car crash on April 22, 2002, at age 53, and she left behind her a legacy of fight against woman-battering and expertise in the fine art of blowjob, after all she invented what is now known as "throat fucking".
