Freetour offers: What an amazing tour. It's basically as if you were in the member's area. Of course you only have access to scene previews, but I mean in terms of being able to browse the available content. On the main page you'll find links to the most popular scenes of the month and links to the most recent DVD titles. On the left hand side of the page is the categories menu and at the top of the page you'll find a Stars link (model index) and a link to the Studios page with a list of all the studios. You'll be amazed at how much information you'll be able to get from just the free tour.

General impression: Boasting over 8 thousand DVDs is a sure fire way to make a good first impression. And adding 5 new DVDs per day is the icing on the proverbial cake! I can't think of another adult subscription website that comes even close to offering this amount of content to their members. Especially with so many updates every single day. The site seems to cover a massive range of different niches and features all the popular stars and studios.

Bravo's opinion:  I want to take a moment to talk some more about the free tour. That's one tour that will do a better job of convincing you that you should join Video Box than I ever could. The website simply speaks for itself. At the time of writing this review (March 2010), there were 8000+ DVDs available inside Video Box. You can see how many there are at the time you're reading this by clicking the “New DVDs” link on the menu near the top of the tour page. The beauty of the Video Box tour is that if you want, you can browse every single one of those DVDs with previews available for every single scene within. You'll find the names of the girls (along with links to their profile pages where you'll find other DVDs they've appeared in), categories, studio, the date the DVD was added and a description of the DVD. Each scene preview has 6 thumbnail images and clicking on any of these will show you a video sample. Keep in mind you've got just 4 free credits in which to view samples, so choose wisely.

By the way, those 8000+ DVDs typically contain 5 or 6 scenes. Obviously some DVDs have less and some have more, but 5 or 6 scenes is fairly typical. At the moment the total number of scenes available is 46045+. Yes, that's over 46 thousand scenes. And yes, you can get access to all of it for as little as $9.95 per month. Impressed? I thought you would be.

If you've been to the join page, you'll probably notice that there are two different monthly membership options. There's the basic membership and the premium membership. The basic membership is just $9.95 and you do get access to every single scene of every DVD. However, you're limited to the medium and high quality videos. Whereas with the premium membership, you get access to the DVD resolutions. The medium and high quality videos measure 320 x 240 pixels and 480 x 352 pixels respectively. Premium members get access to videos measuring 720 x 480 pixels. To see the difference in size between these different resolutions, on the tour you should go to the “How Video Box Works” link and click on the “What is the video download quality?” link. There you'll see the three different sizes side by side. The difference between 480 x 352 pixels and 640 x 480 pixels admittedly doesn't sound like very much but you'll see for yourself just how big of a difference those extra few pixels in each direction make.

The difference is of course not just in the dimensions of the videos. The medium quality videos are encoded at 628kbps, the high quality videos at 1760kbps and the DVD resolution videos at around 2600kbps. So there are significant benefits to getting the premium membership instead of the basic membership. Plus, if you get the 10 month membership you'll be getting access at the same price per month as the basic membership anyways.

One of the coolest features in Video Box is the ability to make custom clips. Basically you'll see a bunch of thumbnail images from the scene. I think maybe every 30 or 60 seconds, or so. What you can do is click and drag the thumbnail from the point you want the video to start at, and then click and drag the thumbnail where you want the scene to end and you'll get a custom made clip! So if you want to cut out the talking or “reality” introductions to scenes, you can. This tool lets you turn any scene into a gonzo scene!

Besides the downloadable WMV files, members can also opt to stream the videos in Flash format. The quality of streaming flash video seems to be improving every time I look and the videos inside Video Box are no exception. They look great. But personally I'd rather download the videos.

As for updates, yes, they really do add 5 new DVDs every day. Not 5 new scenes, but five new DVDs. And remember that each DVD will usually contain 5 or 6 scenes. On average you're looking at between 25 and 30 new scenes every single day. DVDs are separated into 39 different categories: Amateur, Anal, Asian, BBW, BDSM, Big Boobs, Black, Blonde, Blowjob, Brunette, Classic, Computer-Generated, Cream Pie, Cumshots, Double Penetration, Feature, Femdom, Fetish, Gangbang, GILF, Gonzo, Group Sex, Handjob, Hentai, Interracial, Japanese, Latinas, Lesbian, Masturbation, MILF, One-on-One, Outdoors, Peeing, POV, Redhead, Squirting, Straight Sex, Teen, Threesome, Toys and Transsexual.

Another cool feature of Video Box is the “My VideoBox” section. Here is where you can organize all your favorite scenes. You can even create multiple favorites lists. I've always found favorites to be a pretty handy tool in websites with a lot of content but in one with over 46 thousand scenes, I'd say this tool is absolutely essential.

Wow. Wow wow wow! I can't tell you enough how impressed I am with Video Box. This is the be all and end all of DVD websites as far as I'm concerned. Nobody can match them in terms of range and daily updates. And the price is absolutely incredible! I'd highly recommend the 10 month membership so you can get access to the full resolution videos for the same price as the basic membership (at just $9.95 per month). And trust me, this is the kind of website where you're going to stay on as a member for years. Hands down the best DVD archive website on the web. And I suspect it's going to stay on top at number 1 for many years to come. Enjoy!
