Gay Ultra - is it truly the ultimate in gay porn? I can't say so, but I can tell you it's a very good time and a very good bang for the gay dollar. The site is very new, just launched in a month before my visit, and it's already out of control in terms of updates and content numbers. Each day 5 or more scenes are added (a DVD a day pretty much) to the collection that currently totals 2,542 scenes. They didn't mess around when they started up this site, and they've even gone so far as to get exclusive rights to the DVDs they show.

The site is laid out well and easy to browse. Basically this is just a big gay DVD archive, and its organized as you might suspect such a site would be. A long list of categories runs down the left-hand side of the site that include sections for things like Anal sex, Bareback, Ass Rimming, Masturbation, Hardcore, Orgy, Cartoon, Ethnic, Uniforms, Studs, Straight Guys, Muscle, Latino and Jocks... and that's just a random sampling. It gets pretty specific, so you should be able to find just about anything that you want.

On average the scenes here run the typical 20 to 30 minutes from start to finish. You can stream them instantly online in a Flash video player or download them in Windows Media or MP4 formats. The Windows Media look best, offering a great quality playback. The MP4s don't look that much different, but are smaller resolution. Scenes come with descriptions and a handful of thumbnails that show you what happens. You can also see how long the scene is, who stars in it and what your other peers think of it. You can rate it yourself as well.

All scenes are categorized and tagged with keywords. You can click any of these keywords, tags or even the models' names and be taken to a list of relevant content, be that more DVDs with the same sort of tags or a model's bio page with links to his other movies. Browsing is fast and easy and it all works pretty damn well.

There were tabs for Live Sex and Dating in the members area. The live stuff are just links to cam models on a third party site - all of the previews were women. This is obviously just advertising for another service, nothing cam-related is included for free. The same goes for the dating tab, which actually links you to another site all together. There were no true extras, but you really don't need them. This site is big and strong enough to stand on its own.
